We practice yoga to create space in our minds, our bodies and our hearts so that we can learn to pause and respond (rather than react), so that we can build compassion for ourselves and for others, and so that we can be of service in this world. This is what is needed in this moment. All classes are held online so that you may safely practice yoga from the comfort of our hOMe.
CLASS DESCRIPTIONS (ONLINE CLASSES)
**Small tweaks may be made to the schedule throughout the month, but expect two weekday flow classes, one weekend flow class and two weeknight flow/reset combo classes.
SLOW FLOW - special class for gardeners
60 minutes (Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9-10 a.m.)
An energy-based, breath-driven slow flow practice focused on alignment and breath. Expect a combination of lengthening and stabilizing postures to help improve balance and flexibility, and breathwork to steady the mind. In Tuesday’s class, we move a little slower, emphasizing the foundational alignment of each pose. On Thursday, we pick up the pace of our flow, building on postures practiced in Tuesday’s class. Open to all levels.
FLOW TO FLOURISH, 75 minutes (Tuesdays, 7-8:15 p.m.)
Give yourself a boost mid-week with this “let it go” vinyasa flow practice. Class will end with a brief guided meditation to reset your mind, body and heart and to prepare you for the rest of your week. Open to students with basic yoga experience.
RELEASE & RESTORE, 60 minutes (Thursdays, 7-8 p.m.)
Take some R&R for yourself mid-week. Class time will be split between movement/sun salutations and rest and digest practices including restorative yoga postures, yoga nidra and/or guided meditation. Release the day and reset your body, mind and soul for the remainder of the week. Don't have blocks, bolsters or straps? No worries. I will recommend substitute props you can use from items you can find around your home. Open to all levels.
VINYASA, 75 minutes (Saturdays, 9-10:15 a.m.)
An energetic yoga flow practice that is designed to raise your internal heat and awareness of connection between the breath and movement. Intermediate level postures will be introduced and modifications will be offered, making this class accessible to anyone with basic yoga experience.
