About Me
From an early age, I have been drawn to the natural world. As a trained environmental attorney, I spent the past couple of decades fighting to protect the irreplaceable natural resources that I care so deeply about. Seeking to replicate the blissful state experienced in nature, I began practicing asana and meditation more than 20 years ago.
In 2016, I was motivated to dive deeper into the roots of the eight limbs of yoga and took my first yoga teacher training. Through my practice, I have developed a profound connection with my true self and a deep appreciation of the oneness in us all, embracing the tools of yoga to help navigate the ups and downs of life. It is these combined experiences that inspire me to teach and share with others the power of yoga. My teaching weaves bits of yogic philosophy, postures, breath control and meditation techniques from various yoga lineages into each class, providing students with a practice that finds the balance between effort and effortless and deepens awareness of our interconnectedness to nature and of the power within.
I am a 500-hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT500®), trained by Master Teacher Jacqui Bonwell of the Sacred Seeds Yoga School in Canton, MA, and received my RYT200® training in Interdisciplinary Yoga at Grounded By Yoga Studios and Yoga Teacher Training Center, LLC in East Bloomfield, NY. I have taught more than 1700 hours of yoga and am recognized as an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (ERYT200®). I am also certified in Clinically-Informed Restorative Chair Yoga and in Balanced Athlete® Level One coaching and am a Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider.
