During the summer months, I plan to offer 3 virtual classes and 2-3 outdoor yoga classes (weather dependent) each week. Registration is required for both online classes and outdoor classes. Class schedules will be posted each month. Details and registration can be found below.
My Summer POP-UP Yoga series is back for its 4th summer, with classes to be offered on random days, nights and times at amazing venues in Hector, NY and the surrounding area. Join me for this unique yoga experience in the forest, by the water, on the hilltops, in the vineyards or maybe even in a backyard. Soak in Seneca Lake views while you practice.
Outdoor yoga classes are kind of like "fair weather yoga." We will be practicing outside (morning or evenings), sometimes on grass and sometimes on a deck. There may be tall grass, dry grass, damp grass, bugs, sunshine and maybe a drizzle or two. Bathrooms may not be available. Outdoor yoga can be a magical experience, connecting to the earth's energy, feeling the sun or wind on your skin, and becoming immersed in the sounds of nature around you. Expect the full outdoor experience in this "all-level" class series. That being said, we won't be practicing in the pouring rain or during storms and class may be cancelled at the last minute due to weather.

As outdoor yoga classes will largely be based upon weather, classes will be announced via social media 2-3 days before the class will be held but last minute cancellations based upon weather are possible. OUTDOOR YOGA procedures:
- In accordance with CDC recommendations and NYS guidance, if you are fully vaccinated, you may choose not to wear a face covering and are not required to physically-distance before, during or after class. Unvaccinated individuals still need to physically-distance (6ft) from others and wear acceptable face coverings when 6ft distance is not possible (i.e. when not on the mat). For the CDC's definitions of fully vaccinated and unvaccinated, see my Class Agreement. If, in the past 14 days, you have exhibited COVID-19 symptoms, tested positive for COVID-19, or come in close contact with a confirmed or suspected COVID-19 case, please stay home.
- Bring your own mat and plan to clean your mat at home. To avoid unnecessary contact, equipment will not be available to borrow and I will not be offering hands-on assists.
- If dropping into an outdoor yoga class and paying cash, please bring exact change.
OUTDOOR CLASS DESCRIPTION
Perfect for anyone interested in nurturing self in nature, while aligning your body, energy and mind from the ground up in a breath-driven flow. Expect a combination of lengthening and stabilizing postures to help improve balance and flexibility, and breathwork to steady the mind. Open to all levels.
Note: Weekly outdoor classes at the WG Yacht Club are geared toward beginners and are not flow-based.
WEEKLY OUTDOOR YOGA CLASS FOR BEGINNERS
Fridays, 9:30-10:30 a.m. Watkins Glen Yacht Club (located behind the Community Center) Ideal for those new to yoga, beginners or anyone interested in learning the alignment and foundational elements of each posture, without moving through a breath-driven flow. Modifications will be offered to accommodate physical limitations or concerns and each student is encouraged to move at their own pace. |
Bring a mat, a large beach towel or blanket to practice on. Open to all levels. Class is weather dependent. Be sure to register for each class to receive weather-related updates. See Registration below.

HOW DO I SIGN UP?
STEP 1. Review and sign the CLASS AGREEMENT before attending an online or outdoor class. This step only needs to be taken once.
STEP 2. Choose your payment package for online and/or outdoor classes below.
- $99/monthly unlimited COMBO pass includes unlimited access to all virtual and outdoor yoga classes this month. You only need to take this step once during the month. You will receive access information for all virtual classes but will still need to register for outdoor classes.
- $65/monthly unlimited VIRTUAL pass includes unlimited access to all virtual classes. No need to register for classes; you will automatically receive class access info via email for all virtual classes.
- $12/drop in for virtual or outdoor classes. You can pay in advance below, pay via Venmo (@Katy-Dunlap-Yoga) or bring exact cash to the class.
There are some things I don't have control over such as the weather and technical issues with the online platform. If you have already paid the drop-in fee, and class is cancelled or interrupted, you will receive a credit for a future class.
STEP 3.
Register for class. Choose which class(es) you would like to attend. After submitting your registration, a confirmation message will appear on this screen. For virtual classes, you will receive an email about an hour before class with sign-in instructions. For outdoor classes, you will receive an email confirmation the day before class with additional info. This step needs to be taken for each class you plan to attend; monthly unlimited COMBO pass holders need to register for outdoor classes only.
